- James Jackson Added March 13, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Got a simple oil and filter change done a few months back, paid extra for cable ties because they broke the clips holding the underbody protection on. That was fine, then preceded to tell me there was damage to the drivetrain of my car, had it checked out again, came back with nothing???
My car was due for a service today (7500km's since Schultz serviced it) oil was black as, the previous oil change before this i went over 10,000km's without a change and the oil looked better than this.
I got home from Repco after buying oil and a filter to do a simple service and check fluids, sump plug was reasonably tight which is good. Oil filter has been put on with a filter strap and took a mate and near on 3 hours to get off, in the meantime the filter was crushed because of the shear force we had to put on it to get it off. We eventually got it by wrapping it in duct tape and using sand paper with a 3 prong'ed filter tool.
To top it all off, the filter they used was the incorrect filter for my car, the one they supplied was to suit a Honda Civic, I own a Mitsubishi Lancer.
